_ THE SHORT FILMS
THE GRADUATE is a collaboration among artists who share mutual interests in the relationship between the wearer and the clothes through fashion tailoring, performance and moving image works.
Cesar Love Alexandre created eight short films, translating Shizhe He’s incredible poetry and tailoring through a series of choreographed individuals moving seamlessly into the pieces. Each short is accompanied by a sound piece from the wearer narrating his relationship to the classics of menswear.
_THE COLLECTION
The collection featured is Shitzhe He’s graduate collection from MFA Parsons The New School _ a collection with noticeable signatures though her remarkable pattern-cutting skills, creating series of trompe l’oeil wherein the pieces melt and flow into themselves, with seamless collars and layers.
Graduate collections are seldom translated directly on the retail floor, and some are highly regarded as the gold mine of promising young fashion designers and
acquired by collectors _ a collection made off the commercial grid and containing layers of intelligence that will be explored within the time and cost challenging equation of the Fashion industry.

_CHAPTER 1
The exhibit is shown in two chapters: The first iteration took place at the Bowery Grand Hotel, New York on October 25th 2018; this chapter presented the series of short films through an endurance based performance where Cesar Love Alexandre a.k.a @young_emperors were welcoming guests to the screening in their hotel room.
